CaliBowl’s innovative inner-lip guides food back into the bowl and onto your utensil, eliminating over-the-edge spills and creating effortless food control. This is what we call CaliBowl’s Made in America non-spill smart lip technology. Check out our CaliBowl Features page for more information.

How was the CaliBowl invented and created?
The CaliBowl was invented by Jeff Bollengier. Jeff teamed up with Rich Stump to bring his idea to fruition. Please see the About Us page for more details.

Are CaliBowl's BPA, Phthalate, and Lead free?
Yes all of our products have been certified and tested by a USA 3rd party lab for BPA, phthalate and lead contents (CPSIA Section 101, Section 108, US California Prop 65). For more information please see our Features page

Where are CaliBowls made?
CaliBowl’s are made in the United States in California.

Are CaliBowls recyclable?
Yes, you can either put your CaliBowl’s in a plastics recycling bin or return it to us for recycling. You can also reference our Features page for more information

Why did you decide to make CaliBowls in the USA?
We made the decision to move manufacturing from China to the US in 2011 because we believe it is the right thing to do for our company, our products and most important our COUNTRY!

Do you guys make bowls for pets as well?
Yep! We just launched our pet bowl line which is available at all JC Penney stores. You can also use the 12oz, 28oz and 44oz bowls for pet bowls. They work great!

Do you plan on making more products using the CaliBowl Non-Spill Smart Lip Technology?
Absolutely. We are in the process of designing and bringing other great CaliBowl products to market soon to be sold at a retailer near you!

Are my CaliBowls microwave safe?
Yes, all of our products have been certified and tested by a USA 3rd party lab for microwave safety. Please avoid heating oil or heavily oiled foods at a high temperature for a long period as it may lead to stains or surface deterioration. For more information please see our Use page.

How do I keep my CaliBowls looking good?
Place them on the top rack of the dishwasher.
Spray them with a non-stick cooking spray before using any tomato-based products. Tomato has acid that will stain the bowls.
Do not place oil or heavily-oiled foods in your CaliBowl’s when using them in the microwave.
Do not microwave your CaliBowl’s for extended periods of time on a high temperature. Limit the time to achieve the appropriate food temperature.
For more information please see our Use page.

Can I put my CaliBowl toddler suction bowl in the dishwasher?
Yes, you can put your suction bowl in the dishwasher but be sure to place it on the top rack only. Also be sure the suction area is not touching the rack or any metal as the heat can cause it to warp. For more information please see our Use page.

Can I heat my CaliBowl toddler suction bowl in the microwave?
No, we do not suggest heating the suction bowls in the microwave due to the suction base material not being microwave safe.

My CaliBowl is stained from tomato sauce. What can I do to clean it?
We suggest spraying your CaliBowl with a non-stick cooking spray before using any tomato-based products. Tomato has acid that will stain the bowls. Some customers have had success removing the tomato stain from their bowls by either placing them in the sun for a few hours or soaking them in water and a little bleach. Make sure you wash the bowls thoroughly after cleaning.
